Have you noticed the scent of grass starting to grow wafting in the air? How about witnessing an impromptu concert by some beautiful birds? When both of these things happen close together, that can only mean one thing: Spring is here! That is right, ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of the year again where we give our homes a refresh. It may seem challenging to have to give your living space a facelift time and time again, but if you let the year’s pantone and trends be your guide, you should find it easier to make a plan for your house’s revitalization. Let me show you what I mean.
The pantone for 2024 is Peach Fuzz.
This gorgeous color reminds me of one thing: a stunning sunset. Which is actually perfect for Spring, as it’s a fun activity to watch the sun fall asleep on warm nights.
At first glance, Peach Fuzz may seem like a hue that would only be appropriate for a little girl’s bedroom. But with the right furnishings, this shade can be used in any room in your home. Want to have a bathroom that was just like the one you got to enjoy on your last beach vacation? Try painting the walls with this gorgeous color, complete with white cabinetry, don’t forget to add a bathtub that matches the hue of the fortification!
What comes to my mind when I think of bedrooms are luxury retreats. With walls awashed in this stunning shade and furniture in varying tones of white, you will feel that you have been transported to a five-star hotel.
Now, how about a kitchen where everyone actually wants to gather in and dare I say help you cook? Be surrounded by walls clad in this color with storage spaces and accents in white.
Many say that the kitchen is the heart of a house. I respectfully disagree. Why? Because it is my belief that the living room is actually the hub of the home as it’s the place where families watch movies together, open presents and play games in. This is the the one area that you can get the most creative in. Of course, the walls would be donned in the hue of the year, but the furniture can be in ALMOST any shade.
Like neutrals? That will work! How about pastels? That is a great choice too!
While there is never a bad time to redo a living space, many people tend to do it in the Spring, as Spring is a symbol of rebirth. Whenever you decide to give your house a makeover, it is my hope that I have given you the confidence you need to design a sanctuary that is as complementary to your soul as the sun is to the sky.
