Last months inspiration featured an outdoor design using great fall colors and this month we are headed indoors to show off some beautiful pieces full of fall vibes. I’m using neutral colors with pops of yellow, copper and orange to create a cozy space where you can sit and relax, sip some tea and work on your knitting.
The room centers around pieces from Dreamland Designs, including the Conway Autumn Daybed and Side Table, Wooden Spring Armoire, Birch Lane Vintage Clock and Birch Lane Metal Table. After getting those items in place it was time to start filling in with all of the random clutter that makes our Second Life spaces feel so cozy.
Pillows scattered about are always a nice touch and I’ve used some here from the Accent Pillow Collection by Spruce. I always love plants/foliage in a room but for autumn decorating I like to stay away from too much green. Apple Fall and Vespertine both have great vases with fall leaves and branches in beautiful colors.
I love to deconstruct pieces as well. Here I have taken the Milking Stool by hive and made the usual bucket transparent so that I could use it as a side table and it’s a perfect spot for my knitting and my tea.
And finally nothing says fall like sunflowers and pumpkins and the ones I am using here are from Ariskea and Thor, respectively.
Happy October and happy decorating!
