PICK OF THE DAY – AUGUST 3, 2022 – BAMBI FOXDALE

Today’s selection for Pic of the Day comes from Bambi Foxdale (a.k.a Norah Brent), who lucky for us, decided to stop and snap a photo of a little corner of the sim she’s working on. She has a knack for transporting us outside the city where Mother Nature is the landscaper and wildlife feels safe to roam about. Here we see a cabin sitting on the edge of a marshy lake. There’s an old wooden dinghy in the foreground with a little fox peeking over the edge at a mallard floating by, seemingly oblivious to the duckling in the boat with him just a couple of feet away. A weathered umbrella is discarded on the dilapidated dock. Thanks to the expert lighting, we know we’re spying on a nighttime scene after the people have gone inside for the day, as the light spills out every window. We can almost hear crickets chirping and the faint lapping of the water’s edge.
