Rhyme Nor Reason – Smelly Cabinet – Cosmopolitan
Anyone who knows me or follows my Second Life blog, Pretty Things Nice Life, knows I am a pretty big Disney fan. The movies of course, but more so the history and the Walt Disney World park…that’s the one in Florida, not California.
What most people don’t know is how much detail goes into the smallest things. I love that keen eye to detail and the passion that goes into adding those touches even if the average person may not even see and appreciate it. That kind of detail is what I love about this Smelly Cabinet from Rhyme Nor Reason. The Smelly Cabinet is a highly detailed cabinet that is loaded with a variety of perfume bottles in all shapes and sizes. While speaking to the creator about it, I commented on my love of the names on several of the bottles. She commented that while many people won’t even notice the names, she still had fun naming them.
Look closely and you will find names like Stench and Reek in addition to Lavender and Sandalwood. My personal favorite? Couteuse Odeur! Sounds better than its translation of “Expensive Odor”, doesn’t it?
The Smelly Cabinet features doors and drawers that open and close and even dispenses a spritz of perfume when you click the perfume bottle. You can see it in person at Cosmopolitan. Go ahead…take a whiff!
