SAILORS COVE NORTH – DESTINATION GUIDE
Seasons Greetings! I hope that my 9th installment of the Destination Guide will find you happy, healthy, and in good cheer. These are trying times for the entire world. May your destination adventures help you to find moments of peace and joy away from all of the madness in the real world. I’m so excited to share with you a new place I discovered after searching for ski resorts. I was sitting in my nice warm linden cabin and thinking of days long ago when I used to visit ski resorts and try my best not to fling myself off the ski hill. The place I found today is called Sailors Cove North. It is a cluster of 7 regions: Homewood, Bristlecone, Alpine, Aspen Woods, Timberland, Fallen Leaf, and Wolfgate. These regions are owned by Patrick Leavitt, a 14-year resident.
Four of the seven regions house a towering ski area with tons of fresh power, adorable mountain cabins, and recreation for everyone. Unlike a lot of the ski hills I have tried on the grid, this mountain takes me longer to make it from the peak to the base area. Once you are at the bottom, just hop on one of the chairlifts to the top and go again. If you don’t have your own skis or snowboard, don’t fret, there are equipment rezzers at the top! The other three regions are more of a lake scene with plenty of open water for sailing and other water sports adventures Hop on one of the many rezzable kayaks and explore the caves of these regions. Many of the caves have spots to hop off and explore on foot. During my adventure, I found so many different recreational activities to try, which include the aforementioned skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, as well as sledding, snowmobiling, hang gliding, hot air balloon rides, sailing, hiking, and ice skating.
Each region offers luxury cabins for rent and you can contact estate managers Joy Canadeo and Conte Alchemi for more information. There is a main lodge and a ski lodge and both offer plenty of places to kick up your feet and relax after a long day of exploring. The main lodge also offers an indoor pool, workout room, bar, and game room. The overall theme of this estate is winter all year long on the four mountain regions and more of a lake area for the other three which are seasonal.
